Dr. Agarwal is an MBBS & MD(Medicine) from SMS Medical College, Jaipur.

He has been practicing medicine since the past 45 years and is credited with starting the first private ambulance, first private Blood Bank , first nuclear imaging center and first private nursing school of the state. He has led various government policy bodies at state and center level. Dr. Agarwal is currently the Chairman of Swasthya Kalyan Group that runs multiple blood banks, educational colleges, and healthcare services across the state of Rajasthan.

Dr. Agarwal has served as the National President of Indian Medical Association which is the largest non-government organization of professionals in the world. He is also member of managing committee of India Red Cross Society, New Delhi.
