Career & Academic Highlights

•     MBBS, MD (Internal medicine) with a gold medal from University of Rajasthan, 1990, Best Medical Graduate of S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur.
•     DM (Cardiology) – PGI Chandigarh, 1994. During the DM course involved in various academic activities of the department including teaching MD & DM residents, and nursing staff posted in different labs and CCU. Involved in the clinical care of sick patients admitted in the wards and CCU and also exposed to and involved in a large number of procedures in the Echocardiography, CTMT, Holter and Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
•     Worked as Assistant Consultant at Batra Cardiac Care Centre in 1995 (New Delhi), where mainly worked in Cardiac Catheterization lab and CCU. Actively involved in Coronary and peripheral angioplasties and also radiofrequency ablation.
•     Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology from Epworth Hospital, Melbourne, Australia (1996). This center is very active in primary coronary angioplasties.
•     Training in a visiting fellowship for three months in Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Lenox Hill Hospital, New York from April to June 2003.
•     Since 1996 working as faculty in the Department of Cardiology at SMS Hospital, Jaipur. Presently working as Senior Professor and heading one unit in the department.
•     The department of Cardiology at SMS Hospital is a very active teaching department with super specialization courses running for the last 15 years. At present 8 DM candidates are being selected every year for the course.
•     Published around 50 research papers, original articles, and case report in national and international journals.
•     Involved actively in the teaching of the medical students and para-medical staff in the college, besides being involved in all the clinical, diagnostic, and interventional fields pertaining to modern cardiology.
