He is also an honorary consultant pulmonologist to the Armed Forces.
In recognition of his academic achievements, he was recently conferred with the fellowship of the academy of medical specialties by the Indian Medical Association. He is also a fellow of the amarican college of chest physicians, Member of the British thoracic society and also gold member of Europian respiratory society.
