Dr. Nikhil Sarangdhar is a native of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He completed his schooling (I.C.S.E.) from the prestigious Maneckji Cooper Educational Trust's (M.C.E.T.) School, Juhu, Bombay, Maharashtra in 1997 and his undergraduate medical education (M.B., B.S.) at the Pravara Medical Trust's Rural Medical College, Loni, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra under the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (M.U.H.S.), Nashik in 2004. He completed his postgraduate medical training for the Diplomate of National Board (D.N.B.) in the specialty of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases from K. J. Somaiya medical college, hospital and research center, Mumbai, and has been awarded the degree of D.N.B. (Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases/Pulmonary Medicine) from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 2012.

Teaching/Academic Positions and Experience: Formerly Assistant Professor (01.02.2014 – 31.04.2016) and Senior Resident (14.08.2009 – 15.02.2011), Department of Tuberculosis and Respiratory diseases,                 K. J. Somaiya medical college, hospital, and research centre, Mumbai and Speciality Medical Consultant, Group of TB hospitals, Sewri, Mumbai (24.06.2016 – 15.05.2018). Total teaching experience is 3 years and 9 months at K. J. Somaiya medical college and 1 year 10 months at Group of TB hospitals, Sewri. Associated with TB control and elimination efforts since 2010.

Professional  Memberships/Fellowships: Registered with the Maharashtra Medical Council. A Member of the Governing Body of the National College of Chest Physicians (India), Geriatric Society of India and Thoracic Endoscopy Society as well as the Central Committee of the Tuberculosis Association of India.  Is a Member of the following societies :
