Dr. Ashish Banerji is an innovative and experienced Hospital Medical Director & CEO with 21 years of experience in hospital administration during which he has developed deep expertise in all aspects of hospital management. Infection Control, Nurse Empowerment, Financial Management, Recruitment for all posts, Communication, and Negotiation skills are his key strengths. 

He has been involved in the startup (from the Project phase) of 4 hospitals: Bombay Hospital Indore, Royal Bahrain Hospital, Nova Specialty Hospitals, Pune, and Symbiosis University Hospital & Research Center (SUHRC) at Pune. 

He has been teaching students of MBA Hospital & Healthcare Administration since July 2017. He is now teaching via the Online mode. He has served in the Indian Air Force from March 1978 to July 2000 (over 22 years)

He joined Symbiosis on 14^th July 2017, in two capacities: COO of the new hospital coming up at Lavale (the official campus of Symbiosis International University). The hospital would be functional any day.

 Medical Director & GM Operations Nova Specialty Hospitals, Pune  (Aug 2013 – April 2015)

• Involved in all phases of Project Completion, recruiting all staff, (including competent Surgeons) & putting systems into place. 
• 38 highly qualified surgeons signed up, more than any other hospital in the Nova network. 
• Conducted a program called Jagruti Abhiyan (Awareness Campaign) inviting the public to get various tests done free of charge, plus free consultations. Many diabetics, hypertensives & people with IHD were diagnosed during this campaign.
