Dr Sumbul Hashmi, PubIic Health Manager at EPCON, Belgium, Sumbul 

As a Global PubIic Health Manager at EPCON, Belgium, Sumbul collaborates closely with NGOs, research institutes and government bodies from low and middle income countries to support their operational and implementation research projects related to case finding interventions, mHealth solutions and digital data platforms. She currently works with partners in South East Asia and Africa for successful implementation of public health interventions focused on Tuberculosis case finding, burden estimation and disease mapping. 
Sumbul has a specialization in Public Health Methodology from the University of Brussels, Belgium. She also has a Master’s degree in Dental Surgery, in the branch of Public Health Dentistry from University of Delhi, India. She has worked on research projects focused on TB-DOTS providers, head and neck cancer patients and hearing impaired children in India, mainly in health promotion and quality of life. Working in community health care research sector in India has given her immense understanding of the challenges and ground realities in developing countries. With a strong background and skills in real world research methods, she has been associated with public health research projects from start to finish, with several publications to her credit.
