• Formerly Practiced  General and MAS Surgery at Jeewan Mala Hospital, Dr. B L Kapur Memorial Hospital, Max Hospital, and Sita Ram Bhartia Institute of Science & Research, New Delhi.
• At all these hospitals where I have practiced since 1993 we performed a wide range of Minimal Access Surgery which remains my primary area of interest.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS

Course Coordinator & Chairman for:

• International Centre of Excellence for Bariatric Surgery at IMAS, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. A well-structured training program for National & International Surgeons.
• Centre of Excellence for Hernia Surgery, which conducts regular training programs for Young Surgeons from India and Abroad.
• Academic Coordinator for 2 years post-doctoral fellowship program of Minimal Access Surgery at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi under the aegis of the National Board of Examinations, India.
• A faculty member with Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education –Delhi for their  endorsed courses on  ‘ The Art & Science of Laparoscopy’
• Faculty, Advisor & Course Director, Atlas Hernia program for training young surgeons from SAARC countries jointly conducted with Medtronics.

 NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL INITIATIVES:

• Content Developed and Published “ Standard Treatment Guidelines for Inguinal Hernia” in association with FICCI and private Insurers forum as a National Initiative for standardizing healthcare treatment in India, July 2009.
• Invited Faculty at The National conference 2009 on “ Quality Management in Hospital Operations held in Nov 2009, Delhi. Delivered Faculty lecture on “ Ensuring Quality in Surgical Care”.
• Member, Expert group for making National Guidelines and recommendations for Selecting Patients for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery in Indians.
• Member, Expert group for making National Guidelines and recommendations on Minimal Access Surgery- Revision Update 2018.

Digital Healthcare Startup:

Founder Director and Concept development for an application to keep patients from all over India and Abroad connected through a smartphone application –myFollowUp, available as an android and ios version. This application is downloaded and used by more than 15,000 patients.
