He is President of the Maharashtra Medical Council ( MMC ).

He is a General Surgeon and Laparoscopic Surgeon practicing in Mumbai.  

He holds the following degrees: MS (Mumbai University), FICS (USA), FMAS.  

He was Professor of Surgery and Unit Head at Grant Medical College (J.J. Hospital).  

He is a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons.  

He is a Fellow of Minimum Access Surgeons.  

He is an Undergraduate and Postgraduate Teacher and Examiner of M.U.H.S for the last 35 years.  

He is a Professor of the IMA College of General Practitioners IMA HQ.  

He was elected to the post of Chairman AKN SINHA INSTITUTE of Medical Education and Research IMA HQ for 2015-16.  

He was Executive Member and Chairman Finance Committee of Maharashtra Medical Council 2011-16.  

He was the National Co-ordinator of the National Working Group IMA HQ.  

He was Finance Secretary IMA Maharashtra State and Central Working Committee Member IMA HQ.
