Dr. S. N. Gaur, M.D., PhD (Medicine), Fellow of National Academy of National Sciences, FIMS, FCCP(USA), FAAAAI(USA), FNCCP, FICAAI, Commonwealth Fellow, Retired recently as Director (Acting) and  is Professor and Head, Dept. of Pulmonary Medicine at V. P. Chest institute, University of Delhi. He was Delhi University Head, Dept. of Pulmonary Medicine from 1996 - 2002 and from 2011.  He was Expert , Research Advisory Committee and is Member, Working group of Ministry of Environment and Forest, Govt. of India, Chairman, Allergen Standardization committee of CDSCO, Ministry of Health, Member, New Drug Development Expert group, G. O. I.

Dr. Gaur is presently working as Professor and Head, Department of Respiratory Medicine, School of Medical Sciences and Research, Sharda University, Greater NOIDA, U.P.

He is Secretary of National College of Chest Physicians (India),  Editor –in – Chief of Indian J Chest Diseases and Allied Sciences and Indian J Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. 

He is Examiner for DTCD, MD, DNB, PhD of various Universities of India, received over 12 National Awards/Orations and various academic Honors, has over 200 original publications in International and National Journals, has authored/edited 5 Text Books, Prepared Guidelines for Allergy practice in India, and was participant in preparing 5 Guidelines on various chest diseases, contributed over 31 Chapters, 18 articles and delivered over 165 Guest Lectures.

He has documented various respiratory diseases, including Anaerobic lung disease, Allergy and Immunotherapy, Farmer lung disease, various rare Fungal diseases etc. first time from India and has wide Clinical experience of over 42 years and 40 years of experience in teaching and  research in Respiratory Medicine.
