Module 1: (00:00:00 - 00:08:21) Introduction and Welcome
Mr Puneet Rai from Ethicon welcomed the panellists and introduced Dr. Mohil Patel and Dr. Deven Jogal. He also introduced Dr. Jayesh Amin and Dr. Madhav Hirani, the moderators for the two surgeries to be conducted respectively. Mr. Puneet gave a brief about the surgery that will be performed. The poll was raised.
Module 2: (00:08:21 - (00:11:15)
Dr. Jayesh Amin, moderator for the first surgery, mentioned the patient history and the surgery that will be performed in brief before handing over the session to Dr. Mohil Patel.
Module 3: (00:11:15 - 01:01:59)
Dr. Mohil Patel introduced his team and started the surgery. He explained the use of the various tools and their advantages before using them, during the surgery. He explained and showed the various structures layer by layer while cautiously dissecting and performing the TLH via lateral pelvic wall approach step-by-step. Tips for bladder dissection and benefits of using harmonic scalpel were given by Dr. Mohil Patel. Various questions were raised by the participants which were answered by Dr. Mohil Patel post surgery. The session was moderated by Dr. Jayesh Amin very well. The moderation made the entire surgery very interactive and educational.
Module 4: (01:01:59- 01:08:55)
Mr. Puneet gave a brief about Dr. Deven Jogal and the surgery he will perform. He also spoke about the advantages of the energy device used. The poll was raised before handing over the session to Dr. Devan Jogal.
Module 5: (01:08:55 - 02:48:48)
Dr. Deven Jogal began the surgery and explained the importance of restoration of anatomy and inspection in every surgery. He also spoke about the benefits of removing adhesions while performing the surgery. He explained how to use the energy source - Harmonic scalpel, in this case. He explained and showed the various structures in detail layer by layer while cautiously dissecting and performing the TLH via retroperitoneal approach step-by-step. He also explained the benefits of using a gauze piece inside while performing the retroperitoneal approach. Throughout the surgery, attendees asked several questions that were moderated by Dr. Madhav Hirani and answered by Dr. Deven Jogal. The moderation made the entire surgery very interactive and educational.
