Module 1- Welcome note: Dr Ridima from Medical Learning Hub welcomed the participants and the speakers Dr Meenu Walia, Dr Harshvardhan Atreya, Dr Piyush Gupta & Dr D P Gupta describing the general instructions and the first poll was raised.
Module 2- Recent advances in treating Breast Cancer with Case Presentation was addressed by Dr. Meenu Walia, Senior Director - Medical Oncology (Breast, Gynaecology, Thoracic), Max Super Speciality Hospital. She discussed about the treatment guidelines with newer and finer advancements in Breast Cancer. Key points discussed by her were:
- Treatment modalities
- Significance of Immunotherapy
- Risk factors of Breast CA
- Prevalence of Breast CA in Indian women
- Case presentations
Module 3- Holistic Management of Breast Cancer Patients including Palliative Care if required was lectured by Dr. Harshvardhan Atreya, Director- Medical Oncology and Haemato Oncology, Cancer Institute. Key points of discussion were:
- Importance of palliative care in early as well as late stages of cancer
- Holistic management of Cancer patients.
- Emotional, spiritual, moral support to the Cancer patients.
- Connotation of palliative care addressal in India
Module 4- Dr Piyush Gupta, Secretary Cancer Aid Society India composed the panel discussion and enquired about the futuristic approach of Immunotherapy in Cancer patients.
Module 5- Q&A sessions: Several questions were asked during the session which were all answered by the speakers, Dr Meenu & Dr Harshvardhan
Module 6- Vote of thanks- After Q&A session vote of thanks was shared by Dr Ridima from Medical learning Hub and second poll was raised.
