Real-world evidence of Remdesivir & anti-viral therapy
Module 1: Introduction and Poll (00:00:03 – 00:09:00): Dr. Sameeksha Lamba from Medical Learning Hub welcome all the panelist and participants. The panelists were introduced and the structure of the webinar was shared. After that Dr. Venkatachelapathy IMA Karnataka president, welcome all the guests and brief them about the COVID situation in Karnataka. The first poll was raised.
Module 2: Anti-viral therapies (00:09:00 – 00:35:12): Dr Vishnu Sharma shared his knowledge and experience in treating COVID patients with antiviral drugs and antibiotics. He explained in detail about the different drugs used in treating COVID patients. During the session he explained about Remdesivir, Favipiravir, Oseltamivir, Rabipiravir, Doxycycline, Ivermectin, Chloroquine or HCQ, Azithromycin, Lopinavir, Ritonavir & other HIC drugs. He also explained the strategy to treat the patients.
Module 3: Real-world evidence of Remdesivir (00:35:36 – 00:55:22) Dr. Mehta continued the session by sharing his experience in clinical and practical use of Remdesivir. He explained the background and Aim of using Remdesivir, and shared the Indian published data, methodology, impact of symptoms, onset of Remdesivir and conclusion of study and its limitation.
Module 4: Question and Answer (00:55:30 – 01:11:12) Several questions were asked by the participants around COVID-19 & different therapies, all the questions were answered by the speakers with detailed explanation and clinical experience
Module 5: Vote of thanks and Poll (01:11:13 – 01:17:06): At the end, Dr Prasad from IMA Karnataka Secretary & Dr Sameeksha from MLH shared a vote of thanks for all the panelists and participants. The second poll was raised.
