Emergencies in pediatric gynecology are more common than is thought. These emergencies are presented to the emergency department (ED) and primary care offices. Emergency room doctors and primary care providers should be familiar with these conditions to allow for optimal triage of these conditions. Obstetric and gynecologic providers also should be familiar with these conditions as they often may be consulted when these patients present to the ED or to their primary care provider.
