Module 1: Introduction and Welcome (00:00:00 - 00:07:52)
Mr. Ankur Desai from Ethicon welcomed the panelists and introduced Dr. Mahendra Narwaria (Director Asian Bariatrics & Cosmetics PVT. LTD. Ahmedabad). The structure and general instructions for the session was shared. The poll was raised.
Dr. Mahendra Narwaria performed three bariatric surgeries during the session. All the three surgeries were performed smoothly and beautifully.
Module 2: Case 1 (00:07:52 - 00:55:58)
Dr. Mahendra Narwaria welcomed all the delegates and started the first surgery of the session. Dissection was shown in detail. Questions related to pre-operative procedures and the technique were answered by Dr. Narwaria during the surgery. The technique which can help manage hiatus hernia early was spoken about. Post the surgery various questions raised by the participants were answered before taking up the next case.
Module 3: Case 2 (00:58:27 - 01:50:11)
Dr. Mahendra Narwaria started the second surgery for the session. While performing the surgery, Dr. Narwaria explained the difference between gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy with their indications and benefits. The procedure was explained in detail. He also explained the importance of being careful of the Splenic artery while performing the surgery to avoid bleeding. Challenges faced while performing the surgery in super obese patients were addressed and spoken about.
Module 4: Case 3 (02:24:24 - 03:37:59)
Third and the last surgery for this session was performed by Dr. Narwaria. He mentioned the case history briefly. Adhesions were removed and all the steps were explained to the participants. All the three surgeries were done with precision.
Module 5: (03:10:35 - 03:19:05)
Mr. Ankur Desai and Dr. Mayuri Keskar gave a thank you note to Dr. Mahendra Narwaria, his team and all the participants. The second poll was raised.
