Module 1: (00:02:03-00:11:50)- Introduction: Dr. Mayuri Keskar from Medical Learning Hub (MLH) team introduced and welcomed all the panelists and participants. The poll was raised. The structure of the webinar and the general instructions were shared with the participants. Then Dr. Satyajit Borah, President of IMA Assam welcomed the participants and panelists. Then he shared insights on how Assam is dealing with COVID 2nd wave and a tribute was given to all the doctors who lost their lives in the battle against COVID.
Module 2: (00:12:02-00:54:10)- Dr. Ripun Borpuzari, MD, GCDC (Australia), FICP (India), Senior Consultant Physician & Diabetologist, Sivasagar Assam, Chairperson API District Chapter Sivasagar Assam, Shared his experiences and knowledge in Emerging COVID-19 Issues: Vaccination. Dr. Ripun explained about the vaccine, immune response to viral infection, immune response induced by vaccines. He explained different types of vaccines like inactive viral vaccine, nuclei acid vaccine, RNA vaccines, etc. He also explained about vaccines in India & their results, post vaccinations symptoms, clues & counts
Module 3: (00:54:31-01:57:03)- Dr. Mathew Varghese, Head, Department of Orthopedics, St. Stephens Hospital, New Delhi, continues the session and explained about Emerging COVID-19 Issues: Treatment. Dr. Varghese explained about treatment for COVID. He explained in detail the pathophysiology of drugs, how and when to select the drug, and at which phase which drug should be prescribed. He shared his experiences in treating COVID patients & shared his studies for the same. He also explained how the drugs used in COVID are repurposed, he explained this by sharing examples of his cases. He also shared how to diagnose the condition in acute cases and prevent them from turning in chronic cases.
Module 4: (1:57:10-02:15:22)- Several questions were asked during the event which was answered by a panelist at the end of the session
Module 5: (02:14:31-02:19:20)- At the end of the session Dr. Sikha Sarma, Secretary IMA Assam, and Dr. Mayuri Keskar from MLH shared a vote of thanks and a second poll was raised.
