Introduction: Dr Sameeksha Saxena from Medical Learning Hub started the session. She introduced Dr Bedi- Trainer for the event and then she shared the details about the event and handover the stage to Dr Bedi. First Poll was raised.
Case Presentations: Dr Bedi presented 3 live surgeries during the session. The first case was on MGB, second on Sleeve Gastrectomy and third on Super obese MGB patient. Before each case Dr Bedi shared the details of case. Following points were covered during the surgery:
- Importance of the surgery for the case
- Which instruments are used?
- Positioning of the trocars
- Steps involved in the surgery
- Do’s and Don’t’s in surgery
- Precautions to be taken during the surgery
- How to flip the stomach, and check adhesions
- Sutures used
Dr Bedi advised to view the recording again and again to learn the things that are missed. Several questions were asked during the session which were moderated by Dr Sameeksha from MLH and Dr Chirag Parikh
